Establishing website goals
During the initial phase of our website design process, a BushFX representative will meet with a representative from your organization to establish the clear and concise objectives of your website. Some of these objectives include:
- Lead generation expectations?
- Will there be online selling involved?
- Will the site be centered toward client interactivity?
- Is the site available in order to collect client related data?
- Will a database be established in order to maintain records
It is important to have a clear understanding of site objective in order to make the design process as efficient and effective as possible.
Website Structure Development
This phase of the of website design process establishes the technical aspects and concerns of your website. We decide how information is disseminated on the website for viewing by visitors, navigational issues, and website layout. During this phase of the process several mock navigational pages will be constructed for the clients viewing. These mock pages are usually provided for viewing to the client by BushFX providing a temporary link. This practice reduces consultation costs and has proven to be very effective.
Actual website design and construction
After the appropriate layout and navigation system has been selected, the actual website construction process begins. This part of the process requires that the client provide all text and graphics that will be included on the website. All the provided information will be properly configured for the clients viewing via the temporary link for feedback. Once all feedback is received, a general agreement of image placement and text is established. This is usually the final drafting stage for the design and where the completed design structure takes form.
Programming and debugging
The extent of programming for a particular website varies from website to website. Any dynamic website programming that may be needed for the website will be implemented during this phase of the website development process. Our developers will examine the technical prerequisites of the site and determine the appropriate programming framework to implement. This framework is thoroughly tested and debugged to ensure appropriate operation.
Live website Release
The live website release portion of the website design process occurs after extensive testing and debugging of the client's website. The testing will be done by both our developers and the client. After final verification of functionality and design satisfaction, the website is officially submitted over the internet as a "live" website. The website will be accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
Continuous website maintenance and updates
After the official launching of the client's website, BushFX offers continuing support for ongoing maintenance and updates for our clients. Since the client's website represents their business the client should keep the site current in terms of graphics, navigation, technology and usability. BushFX developers will assist our client's in establishing an appropriate maintenance and update schedule to ensure that your website reflects the clients requests, system upgrades, emerging technologies and visitor feedback.
